PSI Chi and SPA at ISU

Welcome to Psi Chi and SPA at Illinois State University!

The Student Psychological Association (SPA) is a club on ISU campus that celebrates psychology! SPA is for any student that is interested in psychology regardless of their future career intents. SPA does not have academic requirements to join, but we do expect that you attend a certain number of events put on by the club. Psi Chi is an International Honor Society that provides additional psychology resources to members. With Psi Chi being an honor society, there are specific requirements, both academic and social, to join. Requirements to join for both groups are listed under the ‘Admission’ tab.

Please visit our schedule tab to see our meeting times, taking place every other Thursday from 6:30pm-7:30pm in SCH 238. Our meetings will provide professional and academic resources for members, such as guest speakers from graduate programs, the Department of Psychology at ISU, or community programs around the Bloomington-Normal area. Casual meetings allow members to get to know each other, ask questions, and give ideas for future programs. We also host multiple volunteer and fundraising opportunities, that will be announced as they develop.

We make up a diverse group of students that you can be a part of too! Follow the tabs accordingly to view the admission requirements, schedule for the current semester, and additional contact information. The ‘Meet the Board’ tab at the top gives you a little more personal description of each board member. We’re very excited for this semester and hope to see you at meetings!

Applications for Spring are currently posted under the Admissions tab.
