The next meeting of the reading group will be held on May 11th at 4:30. We will be reading The Ring of Solomon, by Jonathan Stroud. Taking place in 950 BCE Jerusalem, this is a prequel to the Bartimaeus series (The Amulet of Samarkand, The Golem’s Eye, and Ptolemy’s Gate). Don’t despair if you haven’t read the series; as a prequel, it’s a solid introduction to the unforgettable character of Bartimaeus himself.
