A panel of faculty experts and previous students will share Information for creating welcoming
classrooms for LGBTQ+, transgender and gender non- conforming students.

  • Fri, Nov 12, 2021 from 1:00-2:30 – Promoting Inclusive Academic Environments Where All Faculty Can Thrive

A panel of faculty experts will share experiences and recommendations on how
departments can be welcoming environments for BIPOC faculty.

  • Jan 27-28, 2022 – Increasing Faculty Understanding of Systemic Injustice and BIPOC Students: Partnering for Their Success
    • Thurs, 7 pm – Public Keynote address by Dr. Buffie Longmire-Avital, Associate Professor at Elon University and Director of the Black Lumen Project will speak on her research regarding the psychosocial impacts of systemic injustices that create added burden for BIPOC students. The discussion will illuminate strategies for student success.
