COM Week 2021

Get ready to Zoom Past Your Limitations! COM Week is an Illinois State, School of Communication tradition that will take place April 5-8, 2021. This year, all events will take place virtually.

COM Week is a communication convention that brings real life professionals to students. This week is made up of a wide variety of panelists and keynote speakers that come to share their knowledge and field experiences with students. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for students to learn more about their career options and help educate students on the importance of professional development. COM Week also gives students a chance to be proactive and utilize the abundant networking opportunities that COM Week provides. This week also includes the Documentary Film Festival, Mocktail Hour, and Speech Showcase.

Zoom Past the Limitations: This year the SoC PD Team has worked hard to create an all virtual COM Week. Obviously, there are many limitations this year, but we still want to provide students with the same professional development opportunities as any other year.

If you are ready to zoom past your limitations in the communication industry, apply for the School of Communication Promotions and Development Team.

The SoCPD Team is a group of interns that act as the brains behind many events the SoC holds throughout the year. The SoCPD is a great way to gain experience as a communication student and it will bring you a variety of educational and professional opportunities. Come join the family!
