Elizabeth Harkert (2018)

My name is Elizabeth Harkert, and I am a graduate student at Illinois State University. I received my bachelor’s degree in History – Social Sciences Education at ISU as well. My research focus is on Historical Linguistics and Medieval Germanic History. I aspire to be an educator.

Logan Janicki (2018)

Hi, I’m Logan Janicki, I’m a History major at Illinois State, and am looking to graduate at the end of Fall semester 2019. I’m a mostly self-taught Byzantine history nut, and I got to live the dream March 2019 by attending the 94th Annual Meeting of the Medieval Academy of America thanks to the work done for this class. Outside of academics I’m active in ISU’s History club and work at the Bloomington Public Library. I’ve also been known to enjoy a good board game or three.

Trey Laird (2018)

Currently I am a student at Illinois State University, studying to be a future educator in the field of the social sciences.  Upon graduation, I hope to work in an urban environment close to the community I grew up in.

Quinn O’Meara (2018)

Bio coming soon!

Jose Pacheco (2018)

History Major and Minor in European Studies. My personal interests are focusing on European Monarchs and so my research used ArcGIS to study and determine a relationship of King Jaime II of Aragon and use his itineraries to determine how his travels impacted land acquisition and land loss.

Andrew Pfannkuche (2018)

Andrew is a history major with minors in European studies and German.  His eclectic mix of historical interests has lead him to research early modern workhouses, L’Hébertists, trees in Bloomington-Normal, and (for this project) Theophanes’ chronicle and Irene of Athens.  Andrew hopes to go on to achieve a PhD in modern European history.
