Exercise Science Labs

We have three labs associated with the Exercise Science program.

Biomechanics Research Laboratory

The ISU Biomechanics Laboratory is located on the ground level of the School of Kinesiology/McCormick Hall and is connected via skywalk to the Illinois State University Student Fitness Center.

Exercise Physiology Laboratory

The mission of the lab is to promote excellence in teaching Exercise Science concepts and to facilitate the hands-on learning of exercise testing, prescription and programming.

The lab suite is used to conduct research on the role of psychological factors to explain human motivation, performance, learning, and physical activity.

Exercise is Medicine on Campus

Illinois State University’s Exercise is Medicine on Campus is a referral-based program that provides ISU students with opportunities for private, individualized physical activity training and programming developed and implemented by faculty and students in the School of KNR.
