All as One (Fashion Show 2021)

The year 2020 has posed many obstacles. Following struggles, we must come together and work to rebuild our aching society. All as One will be a monochromatic vision featuring a diverse student body to represent the idea of togetherness and unity.

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION ARE ABOUT GIVING VALUE TO EVERY HUMAN BEING NO MATTER OUR DIFFERENCES.

Monochromatic is the use of color from the same single hue. For hundreds of years, artists have used a single color as a vehicle for exploring their potential and their limitations as well. Kazimir Malevich was one of the first of many individuals to dive into the realm of monochrome work. Starting in 1913 Kazimir Malevich introduced his famous geometric abstraction Suprematist Composition White on White piece that displayed the first known aspects of monochrome. Along with Kazimir, there are many individuals that followed in his footsteps in exploring the possibilities of monochromatic work.

Individuals in this 2021 Illinois State Fashion Show will continue to do the same and explore their creativity and possibilities through our monochromatic theme.
