Attendee Information

On behalf of the Illinois Department of Public Health, we would like to extend an invitation to you to attend the second annual Illinois Harm Reduction Summit. The purpose of the Summit is to provide training and the opportunity to build relationships with stakeholders involved in the advancement of harm reduction in Illinois.

Program Objective

The goal of the Summit is to bring together experts in the field of harm reduction along with others interested in learning about or expanding harm reduction. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss the benefits of harm reduction, best practices, and areas needing development.

Target Audience

The Summit’s target audience includes harm reduction service providers, healthcare providers, direct service providers, state agency staff, funders, supporters of harm reduction, people who use drugs, non-profits, and organizations interested in learning more about harm reduction.

PROCESS TO RECEIVE CREDIT
You will be sent an email (sender noreply@highmarksce.com) within 1 week after the event with a link to the evaluation and to download your certificate.

  • For most credit types (physician, nurse, professional/clinical counselor, clinical psychologist, social worker), the certificate will be available in your account.
  • For CADC and related credit types, choose ‘Attendance’ credit in your account. Then, when you complete the evaluation, answer ‘YES’ to the following question: Do you need any of the following types of credit: Counselor I or II, Preventionist I or II, CARS I or II, CODP I or II, PCGC II, CCJP II, CAAP I, CRSS I or II, CVSS II, ATE, CPRS I or II, MAATP II, CFPP I or II, NCRS II?

Within a few days of submitting the evaluation, a certificate will be emailed directly to you. The evaluation and credit claiming will be open for 30 days from the end of the event.

You must view the sessions live during the Summit in order to receive credit. While the recordings will be available after the Summit, you can only apply for credit while viewing the sessions live in order to be included on the attendance reports.

Accreditation
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and the Illinois Department of Public Health.  The SIU School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Credit information for other healthcare professionals will be added to the website soon.
