If a disaster has been declared in Central Illinois, it will be listed under the Disasters & Assistance tab (Disaster Information, All Disaster Declarations) and provide information on assistance. Other support includes flood insurance, guide to emergency preparedness , and getting assistance after a disaster.

MCAA provides foreclosure intervention services for those who are having trouble making mortgage payments, are late on the payments, or facing foreclosure. MCCA also hosts credit building workshops that subsequently offers free one-on-one counseling and education for participants.

Tazwood Community Services is the organization to contact to apply for a grant from the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), which provides support for paying heating bills and improvements. Free energy conservation updates and improvements from weatherization are also available. This assistance is available to residents of Tazwell, Woodford, McLean and Livingston counties through Tazwood Community Services.
