Call for Poster Abstracts
Submission Deadline: October 15, 2022
The Illinois Department of Public Health, Center for Minority Health (CMH) invites individuals, particularly MPH students, to submit ideas for poster discussions for the Center for Minority Health Conference, “Public Health and Social Justice: Pathways to Minority Health Equity” to be held November 15-16, 2022 through virtual platform. We are offering an opportunity to share your original research and case reports for all Public Health related issues on health equity programs, initiatives, and/or other successes with conference participants. Our intent is to offer informative discussions that will provide practical tools that attendees will utilize in their workplace.

- Call for Abstracts Opens: September 1, 2022
- Call for Abstracts Closes: October 15, 2022
Guidelines for Submitting Abstracts
- Poster Format: Each poster will be available for discussion via a chat box on November 15, 2022 from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m. CT. We encourage each presenter to be prepared for informative and interactive discussions. Please note: There is no live virtual component, only communication via a chat box.
- Submission: Please complete this form and submit in MS Word format. Failure to observe the requirements may result in submission errors or rejection of the abstract during the review process. All submissions should be sent electronically to Yolanda Jones at Yolanda.Jones2@illinois.gov no later than 11:59 p.m. CT, October 15, 2022. Abstracts received after the deadline will not be considered. Submit early to avoid heavy traffic at the deadline.
- Acceptance: You will be notified of acceptance via email by October 18, 2022. The CMH reserves the right to combine poster sessions, to make decisions with respect to presenters and to edit your description for promotional purposes.
- If Accepted: Submitting an idea for discussion represents a commitment to develop and deliver an informative, relevant, and useful presentation. All poster presenters must register for the conference; conference registration and fees for presenters are covered by the Center for Minority Health.
