Welcome to Data Analysis Resource With Interactive Navigation
Purpose
This site will allow the user to determine the most appropriate statistical method for analyzing a data set by navigating through a series of questions about the data.
The first decision that must be made is the type of research question being asked. The following questions represent the three types of questions that will be addressed by this site. Follow the link to the most appropriate question.
- Is there a difference?
- This question is used to determine whether there is a difference between some sample statistic and an assumed population value or between sample statistics from different samples.
- Is there an association?
- This question asks whether two variables are associated.
- Are there 2 or more independent variables?
- This question is applied when more than one independent variable may be acting on the dependent variable.
