PAN-JAPAN:The International Journal of Japanese Diaspora seeks quality articles and projects on all aspects of the Japanese diaspora. Possible contributions from all social science or humanities disciplines (very broadly defined) will be considered. Multidisciplinary works are strongly encouraged.
Possible Manuscripts Include
- Scholarly articles
- Review articles
- Relevant book or film reviews
- Research notes
- Commentaries
- Selected non-traditional pieces (please see Statement of Purpose on the Home page).
Various theoretical and political viewpoints will be entertained, and we encourage contributors with special projects or article ideas to contact the editors.
Format
- Full length papers of about 25 to 30 pages, as well as shorter pieces, should be typed using 12-point Times font.
- Electric mail or a computer disk in one of the following formats is also desired Macintosh Claris/AppleWorks or MS WORD; or PC MS WORD; or ASCII. (If this is not possible, please contact one of the editors about requirements for scannable text.)
- Please double-space ALL text including references and notes.
- The Chicago Manual of Style and the Japan Style Guide (Society of Writers, Editors and Translators, Tokyo) are recommended.
- The text can be submitted in English, Japanese, Portuguese, or Spanish.
