Rebekka Darner Gougis

I am a science education researcher, and I conduct research with the overarching goal to improve the quality of K-16 science education. My general areas of research are motivation and conceptual change.

I am also the director of BSC 101: Fundamental Concepts of Biology. I design this course to serve the needs of non-biology majors so they can make biology applicable to their everyday life. I also teach a specialized version of this course for pre-service teachers (BSC 101.01) and mammalian biology (BSC 296).
