Rebekka Darner

I am a science education researcher, and I conduct research with the overarching goal of improving the scientific literacy of nonscientist members of the public, particularly pre-service teachers.

I serve as the director of BSC 101: Fundamental Concepts of Biology. I have designed this course to serve the needs of non-biology majors so they can make biology applicable to their everyday life. I also teach a specialized version of this course for pre-service teachers (BSC 101A01: Fundamental Concepts of Biology for Future Elementary Teachers) and BSC 296: Mammalian Biology.
