BSC 345 - Introduction to Endocrinology
Endocrinology (BSC345) is an advanced, upper level course intended to cover a range of topics from the mechanisms of hormone action in vertebrates to the relevance of endocrinology to societal issues. This course will cover the underlying principles and mechanisms of the endocrine system and use a subset of the numerous endocrine signals as “case studies” to go into the specifics of how the endocrine system operates. We will conclude the course by addressing some societal topics (which will be determined by the class) that have an endocrine component to them.
