As of Fall 2022, the Hear-Cog Research Lab was officially established. Founder, Dr. Shraddha Shende, recently joined the faculty of the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department as an assistant professor.
Upon opening the Hear-Cog Lab, Caitlyn Welsh joined the team as the lab’s graduate research assistant. She is completing her doctorate in Audiology at ISU and is interested in a career with older adults. Shortly after, Daniel Ferguson became a member as an undergraduate research assistant. Daniel recently decided to pursue an education in Audiology and wanted to gain experience in the field.
We are excited to launch our research lab and look forward to contributing to the field’s understanding of hearing loss and cognition in older adults! We will post lab news here regularly, you can also check our resources tab for educational articles and new going on in the Audiology world.
