History

The Illinois State University Spanish Club first became a club in the 1980’s. In August of 2006, the advisor and the Executive Board of students on that academic year made the decision to enlist Spanish club as a Registered Student Organization through the Dean of Students Office in order to find more opportunities and support from ISU administrators, students, and the community.

Since 2006, The Spanish Club has grown tremendously in members and activities. During these last ten academic years, the club has been nominated for several awards, five of which it has won.
