Energy Education
The Consortium supports the majors and graduate programs in the Department of Technology through:
- Organizing a sustainable energy forum to encourage and advocate for renewable technology discourse amongst the campus and local community
- Inviting energy and sustainability experts to campus for informational workshops and seminars to educate the public and current students about opportunities and progression within the industry
- Funding and sponsoring student-led activities to ensure high quality experiences and interaction amongst Redbirds
Interdisciplinary Energy Research
The Consortium actively encourages applied research within sustainable and renewable energy by seeking:
- Grant opportunities concerning sustainable and renewable energy
- Campus-wide faculty collaboration
- Industry partnerships to maintain the applicability of the Consortium’s research and to support connections within student research endeavors
Industry Partnership
The Consortium closely works with its industry partners to coordinate:
- Workshops, conferences, and training programs for faculty and students looking to further their interaction and understanding beyond the academic community
- Internships and post-graduation placement for students to looking to gain industry experience and employment
