Franklin Park Concert Series

The Franklin Park Concerts have retuned to Bloomington for its summer series.

City of Bloomington’s Parks and Recreation are excited to announce the free live music series, with the Community Concert Band, will begin tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Franklin Park, 302 E. Chestnut St. The series will continue every Thursday evening through July 28th.

These outdoor summer concerts have started many years ago in Miller Park and performed at other various park locations. Director Mike Wallace opens every concert with the Star- Spangled Banner and closes every concert with Amazing Grace. In between pieces include, traditional selections, dance music, show tunes, and much more.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to grab their favorite spot.
