NORMAL – The University Program Board is hosting Back in the Groove Saturday night.
UPB’s first event of the semester will give students a chance to get a head start on their New Year’s resolution. They can participate in various activities such as basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, rock-climbing, yoga and zumba. Late Nite Chairperson Katie Carranza says the event is a great way to get students back into the swing of things.
“It’s just getting them motivated and organized and relax a little bit but also get back into the routine of things to start the semester,” said Carranza.
Carranza added that students can play bingo for a chance to win various giveaways while eating lots of food. They can also make DIY agendas to stay organized throughout the semester. UPB has never done an event like this before and hopes it will be successful.
The event takes place from 9 p.m. until midnight at the rec-center. A student I.D. is required for the event.
