Previous Enhancements

Classroom Refresh Initiative

Our initiative since 2021 was to improve teaching and learning environments to foster experiential learning opportunities, encourage faculty-student collaboration, and accommodate diverse educational approaches. Fifty-one general classrooms in several academic buildings were refreshed. This remodel of this classroom opens it up while nudging students to engage in more group work. The lighting also makes it look much more alive and welcoming. A lot of these classrooms got new chairs that allow students to move around the classroom to help them engage in teamwork activities. The new coats of paint and artwork on the walls make these classrooms look more modern and help the students feel more engaged while making the room feel much more like a learning space than a classroom.

HVAC

HVAC upgrades were made to enhance the filtration, ventilation, and cooling of the buildings. Although not often seen by students and faculty, these upgrades make a significant difference in university buildings and create a more comfortable learning environment.
