

ISUSec Cybersecurity Club
Cybersecurity Club is a Registered Student Organization. Student members not only learn about information security, they also apply their knowledge by competing in national cyber defense & offense competitions.
Students also attend security conventions, such as BSides Peroia and ChiCyberCon and connect with well-known professionals and security companies outside the University.

Women in Cybersecurity – Illinois State University Student Chapter
Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) at ISU is a community-driven organization dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in cybersecurity. Open to all students, regardless of gender or major, WiCyS provides a welcoming space for learning, networking, and professional development.
Our chapter hosts biweekly social events and technical workshops, offering members opportunities to explore cybersecurity topics, engage in hands-on activities, and prepare for competitions. We also bring in guest speakers from the industry to share insights and career advice.
WiCyS members are encouraged to join the WiCyS National Organization, gaining access to scholarships, mentorship programs, and exclusive industry connections.

Information Security Office
The mission of the ISO, is to assure the security of the University’s Information Technology (IT) resources including building a cyber-threat resilient University culture and promoting the existence of a safe computing environment in which the University community can teach and learn.
To support this mission, the Information Security Office will develop processes, procedures, and policies for anything related to confidential information, individual privacy, and the University’s information assets.
