GEM Fellowship Program

(For Minority Students Planning to Attend Grad School)

  • This fellowship’s purpose is to fully support minority students pursuing a graduate degree in one of the sciences or engineering. If awarded, the fellowship provides full tuition support, a $16,000 stipend, and a guaranteed paid internship with an employer in your respective field during the summer prior to your first graduate school semester. To be awarded the GEM Fellowship, a student must apply during the fall semester prior to the year they plan to start graduate school, apply to at least 3 GEM sponsored Universities, and be selected by a participating employer for a summer position.
