I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics and Government at Illinois State University.
Before joining ISU I was a Rooney Center Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Notre Dame.
My research examines how individual characteristics and predispositions interact with social stimuli to shape political behavior. Using experimental methods, I examine how social identity, stereotypes, personality, and the accessibility of these attitudes condition the manner in which citizens respond to the political world around them.
