In this review I did something very different. I used the same Qomo 1080P webcam in the same environment (the Starbucks in the Bone Student Center) but recorded in a multitude of different ways. Here you’ll find each of those recordings with an explanation of how each was done.
Overall, I think this camera comes close to the quality of the Logitech C900 series of webcams. The C900s do better at noise reduction, in my opinion, and the Logitech Capture software is nice. I would be comfortable giving the Qomo 1080P camera to faculty for lecture recording purposes.
Windows Camera App
Zoom Cloud
In the following video I used Zoom Cloud as the recording destination. Recorded with the following Zoom settings:
- 16:9 (Widescreen)
- Enable HD On (checked)
I recorded only my video. There is screen sharing and there are other people in the Zoom meeting. Zoom recorded quality at 1920×1030. This is an odd size because my computer is 1920×1080 and so is the camera, but this video quality is very good.
Zoom Pro – Test 1
In the following video I used Zoom Pro and Record to Computer. Recorded with the following Zoom settings:
- 16:9 (Widescreen)
- Enable HD off (unchecked)
I recorded only my video. There is no screen sharing and no other people in the Zoom meeting. Zoom reduced the video quality to 640×360.
Zoom Pro – Test 2
In the following video I used Zoom Pro and Record to Computer. Recorded with the following Zoom settings:
- 16:9 (Widescreen)
- Enable HD on (checked)

I messed up test 3, you’re not going crazy! In the following video I used Zoom Pro and Record to Computer. Recorded with the following Zoom settings:
