Welcome to Physics on the Road!

Who are we?

POTRbanner

Physics on the Road is a physics education program in Illinois State University’s Department of Physics. Our mission is to reach out to community organizations, especially K-12 schools and other young audiences, in order to promote scientific literacy and awareness.

What do we do?

We present hands-on, interactive shows and demonstrations that include science topics such as gravity, electricity, sound, motion, astronomy, weather, waves, magnetism, and many more. Though we do these presentations for free, we gladly accept donations to help offset costs related to travel and equipment repair.

How can we help you?

Check the “Events” tab at the top of the page to view our upcoming schedule. If you would like us to visit your school or organization, click on the “Contact Us” tab at the top of the page to design your own show. Also feel free to contact us if you have any questions about our program!
