Invitation

On behalf of the Illinois Department of Public Health’s School Health Program, we would like to invite all Illinois’ school nurses to register for our Fall Annual School Health Days conferences. School Health Program provides technical assistance and training to Illinois school health personnel serving over two million school age children. School Health Days will be held virtually this year on December 6 and December 14 with a max of 500 attendees for each event.

The program maintains an email list through which information is distributed on a regular basis. To participate in the list, contact Marie Irwin at marie.irwin@illinois.gov

Program Objective

The IDPH School Health Program provides information and training to keep school health providers abreast of current health requirements, communicable and infectious disease issues, current practices in the management of acute and chronic disease, education and grant opportunities, changes in public health rules and laws, and resources available through IDPH and other state agencies.

  • Licensed Social Worker

Continuing Education

Jointly provided by: Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Within one week following the conference, attendees will be emailed a link to log in, complete the required evaluation and claim CME credit.  Participants will have 30 days during which to complete this process.

Please Note:  You must register in order to receive your access link to the virtual platform.  If you use someone else’s access link, you will not show up on the registered attendee list and will not be able to claim credit as you would be logged in as someone else.

Credit: SIU School of Medicine is preapproved as a continuing nursing education provider pursuant to Section 1300.130, subsection c), 1), B) and P) of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Nurse Practice Act. Nurses may receive a maximum of 6.0 contact hours for completing this activity.

SIU School of Medicine is a licensed provider for continuing education for social workers (license #159-000106) adn professional counselors/clinical counselors (license number 197-00073). This program offers a maximum of 6.0 CE hours.

All other attendees will receive a Certificate of Participation.
