The Hammond Laboratory does not have openings for graduate students from the 2026-2027 applicant pool.
The Hammond laboratory studies gene drive mechanisms and genome defense processes in fungi. Our current research focuses on the Neurospora and Fusarium gene drivers, as well as the genome defense process of meiotic silencing by unpaired DNA.
