Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) is a national organization that focuses on empowering women in the cybersecurity field, helping individuals grow personally and professionally, and decreasing the gender disparity in those fields. Our mission is to “recruit, retain, and advance women in cybersecurity to build a robust and diverse cybersecurity workforce.” Here at Illinois State University (ISU), we are aware of the gender disparity in the cybersecurity major, and we are here to provide a positive atmosphere for learning and supporting women in cybersecurity.
