Hello! I am a professor of psychology at Illinois State University. My teaching has focused on training graduate students in school psychology in the areas of psychosocial assessment, intervention, and consultation, as well as teaching undergraduate courses in professional practice, adolescent development, and statistics.
I received my doctorate in clinical-community psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and am a licensed clinical psychologist.
I am interested in contextual influences on child and adolescent development, with an emphasis on family-, school-, and community-based interventions designed to promote children’s social and emotional functioning. My clinical interests include psychotherapeutic interventions related to stress and trauma, and mindfulness-based stress reduction.
