Dr. Choudhury teaches in the areas of business statistics, operations management, and operations analytics (simulation based). His research interests include product returns, technology management, climate change effects, predictive analytics, time series analysis, co-integration analysis, statistical analysis on business failures and portfolio diversification, development of statistical methodology for assessing health effects of preventive interventions and environmental exposures (PM10). He has been a Visiting Scholar at the Graduate School of Business, University of Chicago. He received the College of Business (ISU) Research Award in 2005 and 2012.
Choudhury has served on organizing committees of many national and international conferences. He was Program Co-Chair for the MSMESB (Making Statistics More Effective in Schools and Business) national conference in 1996. He has obtained several external research grants.
Choudhury has published numerous articles in referred journals including Journal of Econometrics, Communications in Statistics, Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation, Economics Letters, Canadian Journal of Economics, Journal of the Academy of Finance, Academy of Accounting and Financial Studies Journal, Marketing Research, Archives of Environmental Health, and Journal of Applied Business Research.
