Energetic university professor with extensive experience in data analysis applying Simio, SAS, R, FORTRAN, Eviews, Stata, and various other software in quantitative model building. Expertise includes building models and data analysis in the areas of business, finance/economics, technology management, index-based insurance, housing market, and environmental health.

Selected Consulting Projects:

  • Developed a statistical model to identify the effect of structural change in the CPCU program for the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (AICPCU).
  • Developed prediction model for Arctic Slope Regional Corporation (ASRC).
  • Developed distance-minimizing “Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP)” algorithm for the Next Generation Logistics (NGL) for long-distance truck routing software.
  • Created a research base for developing an alternative financial risk model to credit score for Country Financials.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • More than fifteen years of experience in academic research developing statistical models and published 50 plus academic journal articles and many conference papers & presentations. One of the journal articles is among the top twenty articles that have received the highest citations by the academic community.
  • Fifteen plus years of experience in teaching graduate/undergraduate quantitative courses: operations analytics, statistics, forecasting, research methods (doctoral level), multivariate analysis, and operations management.

Research Awards/Grants:

  • Awarded “Outstanding Researcher Award” from the College of Business at ISU (two times) and “Distinguished Research Award” from Allied Academies (three times).                             
  • Participated in a research grant of $2,000,000 by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) for the “Alaska Telemedicine Testbed” project.
