The Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM) is a Zeiss Sigma 300 VP equipped with secondary electron (SE), backscatter electron (BSE), and cathodoluminescence (CL) imaging, and energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS) capabilities.

The facility is located at the ground floor of the Felmley Hall (FSA147), next to the Planetarium – dedicated to serve students, scientists, general public, including K-12 educators and students in the community.

This FESEM-EDS-CL multi-user facility was acquired with the support from the Division of Material Reseach (DMR), National Science Foundation (NSF) (Award # 2116612).
