Anindita Gives a Keynote Address at the ISU High School Research Symposium – 4/29/2024

Congratulations to MS Student Anindita Saha for being selected to present her research as a keynote address at the 23rd Annual ISU High School Research Symposium, sponsored by the ISU Center for Mathematics, Science and Technology (CeMaST)!

The Floyd Lab Goes to the ISU University Research Symposium – 4/12/2024

PhD student Debajjyoti Basu, MS student Anindita Saha, and Undergraduate student Joseph Alexander presented their projects as a part of the ISU University Research Symposium! Special shout out to Joseph for being the first undergraduate student from the lab to showcase his work!

Total Eclipse of the Lab – 4/8/2024

The Floyd Lab took a break to celebrate our recent accomplishments, and to watch the solar eclipse. We only got ~96% coverage, but still an amazing experience!

ISU Phi Sigma Student Research Symposium – 4/5/2024

PhD student Debajjyoti Basu and MS student Anindita Saha presented their data as a part of the annual ISU Phi Sigma Research Symposium. Anindita also organized and moderated the day as the Vice President of Phi Sigma. A very big CONGRATULATIONS to Debajjyoti for giving the first oral presentation from The Floyd Lab, and for also winning an award for that presentation!!!

Midwest Microbial Pathogenesis Conference – 10/20-10/22/2023

The Floyd Lab attends their first ever MMPC! PhD student Debajjyoti Basu and MS student Anindita Saha presented their work to rave reviews!


March 2023

3/30/2023 – CONGRATULATIONS to MS student Anindita Saha for receiving the Edward L. Mockford and Charles F. Thompson Summer Fellowship, as well as the Robert D. Weigel Grant to fund a portion of her work!!!! And CONGRATULATIONS to PhD student Debajjyoti Basu for also receiving the Robert D. Weigel Grant to fund a portion of his work!!!!

ISU Phi Sigma Student Research Symposium – 3/23/2023

PhD student Debajjyoti Basu and MS student Anindita Saha presented the very first posters from The Floyd Lab!!!!! And a very big CONGRATULATIONS to Anindita for winning an award for her presentation!!!

The Floyd Lab Joins the School of Biological Sciences at ISU!!!

We’re bringing the worlds of bacterial surface adhesion and Vibrio cholerae to the School of Biological Sciences at Illinois State University! I’m pleased to announce that Debajjyoti Basu will be joining the lab as a PhD student, and Anindita Saha will be joining the lab as a MS student. Heres to all of the exciting work that will coming from The Floyd Lab soon!!! Stay tuned…..
