2019 Cohort

Below each student’s bio are images of the manuscript folios and their transcriptions and (when available) translations. This is ongoing research and we welcome any comments or feedback you may have.​

Jesse “Romulus” Vega

Salve! Mihi nomen est Romulus, or you can call me Jesse. I am a history major with a minor in European studies and a minor in classical studies. I am also the scriptor of Latin Club ISU. This is my 4th semester of Latin and my interest in Latin stemmed from my interest in etymology. For me, the history of words is just as interesting as the histories of the people that use them. My contribution to our project was transcribing folio 13 from our Carthusian breviary. Working on this project with Dr. Jasper and all the wonderful Latin students has been a privilege and a joy.
