Laundry lines outside a student apartment

While in Orvieto, students will be housed in apartments located in the medieval core of the city–easy walking distance from the classroom and the cathedral.

Apartments range from one bedroom (two students) to four bedrooms (up to eight students), with single rooms rarely available. Every apartment is equipped with wifi, kitchens, laundry facilities, and the ever-present Italian landlord. Getting to know your landlord is a typical Italian experience and can lead to lifelong friendships.

Living in apartments allows students to truly immerse themselves in Italian life, not the life of a tourist. Students shop for groceries in the weekly outdoor market, get to know their local barista, hang their clothes on the line (right next to their neighbors), test the limits of their electrical box, and learn to master the complicated Italian trash and recycing service. Orvieto quickly begins to feel like home when you experience the daily rituals of Orvietan life.
