Self-Assessments
Got Questions? Students sometimes wonder if their alcohol use, eating patterns, or mood shifts are normal or problematic. If you are questioning your behavior in any of these areas, our Online Self-Assessments may help. These self-assessments of depression, manic-depression, alcohol use, eating disorders, and anxiety/post-traumatic stress disorder are completely free and confidential. The screenings let you know if a consultation with one of our professional staff is advisable.
If, after completing one or more of the screenings, you would like to talk to one of our staff members, please contact Counseling Services to schedule an appointment or read about our services. While such screenings are valuable tools, they are best used along with a consultation with a mental health professional.
CHOICES Poster Check-Out
SCS aims to encourage the ISU community consider its ability to make various life choices:
- You can choose healthy relationships over unhealthy relationships.
- You can choose to take care of your physical and emotional needs.
- You can choose to be optimistic.
- You can choose to be kind.
SCS highlights the role of your choices through the CHOICES posters loan program. We would like to offer you the opportunity to display one or several of our CHOICES posters in your office throughout the year. Through a check-out system, CHOICES posters can be displayed throughout the Illinois State campus in a variety of offices and campus locations. By displaying these posters, you are able to send an important message to the community about your support and care for its members and overall well-being.
The posters are loaned out for 30 days at a time, at no charge to you. We simply ask that you display the poster, and return it to our office in good condition by the due date.
To check-out one of our CHOICES posters please contact our Outreach Coordinator by calling (309) 438-3655.
