Personal

I am a committed Christian and believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. I came to know Jesus as my personal Saviour during my freshman year at Temple University through the ministry of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. I have a great family! I have been married for over 30 years to Nita (Stern) Loomis and have seven children – Ethan married to Molly, Bryan married to Hannah, Katrina married to Trevor – and Samantha, whom we adopted from China. Nita and I met in college and got married right after graduation. We are members at Christ Church PCA, where I am an elder and teach an adult Sunday School occasionally and lead a small group Bible Study.

I help lead the faculty/staff ministry, ISU-CFF, at ISU along with Dr. Jim Cox. ISU-CFF has a blog here. I am also the Faculty Advisor for ISU’s InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, Encounter, and International Talk Time.
