Martin Engelke was born in Germany and grew up in the small university town of Tuebingen. His life’s journey led him to the cities of Kiel (Germany), Leipzig (Germany), Glasgow (UK), Zurich (Switzerland), Ann Arbor (Michigan), and now Normal, Illinois. In his free time he enjoys running, bicycling, and swimming. He tries to spend as much vacation time as possible at/on the ocean. He is a basketball fan (Go Blue!) and watches the Americas Cup (Sailing) whenever there is a regatta.
